Occupational Therapy

Our Registered Occupational Therapists assist individuals with the daily activities, or "occupations," in which they are engaged. These include activities of self-care (e.g. dressing, bathing, hygiene), productivity (e.g. household management, paid work, volunteer work), and leisure (e.g. hobbies).

An occupational therapist may work with you by:

  • Developing strategies to safely and independently carry out your daily activities.

  • Providing recommendations for home adaptations or modifications.

  • Suggest ways to simplify your work and conserve your energy.

  • Providing assessment, recommendations and education on the use of equipment for daily living.

  • Providing information on community resources
